From my previous encounter with airplane WiFi a few years ago I had the chance to repeat the same experiment I did back then and check if the Internet feels more like something out of this century and I have to say, things have improved.

Paid internet back then plain didn’t work at all, with 90s link speeds and as unstable as it can get. Now the free plan I’d say it feels like a reliable 1999 modem connection. It takes time but it gets there.

Also, the ping statistics looks quite lossy, although they look faster than the last time I tried doing this:
